Did manage to upcycle hubbys shirts for this, his Godfather and I got him to do the pressing, so it was a Christmas present from us both. Also used some shirting material for the backing and the deep strips. Really pleased with it despite unpicking it on Christmas eve morning and repadding it. I had followed instructions but really didn’t like the finish, it might not have worked as well as it should have because I used a duvet rather than wadding. However if I get the walking foot we can quilt it together. I was going to sew bottons through it at the cornewrs of the squares but think he’s too young for that and pleased I didn’t now as he’s sleeping wrapped up in it :-)
Recycled shirts and shirting material.
