Description

My husband is a big Star Wars nerd, and insisted that the kids go as Princess Leia and Darth Vader. Darth didn’t turn out great, but try to keep a “Helmet” on a 3 week old, good luck! However, Princess Leia turned out super cute! It was my first Major attempt at anything on my machine, especially without a pattern or tutorial, but I was pleased with the results. I made her belt out of PVC, silver leafing in a tube, and Filo. I had to get super creative with that one! Of course my hubby was a stickler for realism, so it had to be PERFECT. I made the buns out of brown braided yarn, and then wrapped and tied them into buns and stuck a headband through them. they actually looked pretty good.

Material Notes

cotton, PVC, silver leafing, Filo, velcrow

Impressive Padawan… Yes I’m also a HUGE Star Wars fan. These costumes came out sooo cute! I would never of thought to make the buns and attach them to a headband. I’ll have to remember that. Thanks for sharing!

Too cute, I love it. My 4 & 5 year olds are big Star Wars fans as well so it seems there will always be new crop of little Leia’s, it’s classic. Great Job!
