Description

This was my first attempt at making pants. Initially, I purchased A Vogue Men’s pants pattern, but when I opened it up, I was completely overwhelmed and tossed it. So I tried my luck and used a pair of my favorite jeans as a base to make a pattern.

The fabrics I used, linen and vinyl, were two of the most difficult fabrics I’ve worked with.

Details included leather-like (vinyl) details on the pockets at the back and leg, belt loop and the back leg of the pants.

To my surprised, I ended up using another gingham fabric.

Material Notes

Linen and vinyl (brown weathered looking leather)

Yes kelepso! But this is not the system I use LOOOL well of course it works also this way but you have to learn one day to construct the patterns on paper or directly on the fabric! Because your way does not work for example with a jacket.

I understand, but it a start to learning how clothes are constructed.

Love these!! Don’t think they would be as ‘wow!’ in a plain fabric, the gingham is great ;)
