I was looking for a summery high-waisted skirt pattern and I found this “paper bag skirt” pattern on Crossgrain’s Free Pattern Month — Day 10 entry. It’s a pattern made by Suzannah, from the blog Adventures in Dressmaking. I posted the link the the “credits” section, below.
This is a very simple and fun skirt to make. I used all the measurements suggested in the instructions. I had this really crisp, thick, royal blue cotton that I found at a thrift store and that I was saving for a pair of Ruby shorts but I figured there was enough to spare for this little skirt. There are three belt-loops and I decided to use a contrasting thick polyester knit fabric for the belt.
