I think the dress is lovely. Only one problem: in the plus size it looks a little boxy on the top/shoulders. It didn’t seem to have the same issue in the smaller size. How come? Maybe it’s just the different fabric (the orange silk was better suited, I think).

Absolutely fabulous! The fabric print is gorgeous, and that chain necklace goes with it perfectly.

I really like this style. I think the color and print of the material gives it a soft feminine look. After seeing it here, I would like to make it, from one of my older Burda magazines.

I am a size 16 in pants and a 14 on the top; how does this compare to the sizing for this pattern?

I agree with many of the other members who say we need more size UK22+ patterns thanks for this one it looks great – not keen on the fabric it detracts from the lovely styling

I agree. I think this would look stunning in Black, or even a sunshine yellow, or bright lipstick red. Anything vibrant and solid, to show off the beautiful lines.

I love this style, it may be a little ‘old fashioned’ but it has shape and a flattering one at that! I’m not so sure about the fabric though. I am confused by the sizes – I am an English size 26 – what is that on your size chart?

Thanks for making the plus sized pattern.

I still don’t get why the 4X sizes are considered plus, when so many women are actually in that range. I’d love to see the plus patterns modeled in sizes 50 and above!

Being that I am a size 50, I agree with you. I’m also a little shorter so just seeing this on another size 48, 50 & up would be helpful.

I am SO happy you guys came out with a plus version! I loved the original pattern and was so sad it wasn’t in my size (or one close enough to grade up). I can’t wait to make this now!

Watch that “old lady” stuff, or I shall have to hobble out into the world and smack you smart aleck youngsters smartly with my cane! ;-( Thank you for an attractive style. I didn’t care for this in the original photos/reg sizes. However, this looks great. As for the fabric, I do like that. In the 70s my favorite prints were cottons from France; all were black & grey on a white or cream background. Cordially, Nehmah

No size 42? really? :( i was waiting for the plus version just to get my size without grading (in which i’m not good at all) please… make us 42ers happy! :(

oh, I waited for that plus pattern, I love it. I wanted to alter the smaller pattern but the difference between 40 and 44 is too big. The fabric isn’t my favorite either (although I am somewhat like an old lady) ;) but I think I’ll find the right one.

So we can’t have it in a size 42 :-(

Which is easier, grading down from the 44 or up from the 40?

I was thinking the same thing :) I think it depends on your shape and what your fit issues are… I used to go for the larger size, but now I prefer to get a smaller size and do a FBA (since I am a short and busty person!). Especially with a neckline like this, the 44 would probably be pretty big shoulder wise on me (although the neckline does look somewhat higher on the plus version?). Even though I will probably end up getting the “regular” size of this, I just want to say that I LOVE seeing Alden model the plus patterns! It totally inspires me to see someone with cleavage in these designs… <3 from upstate NY, Alden!

Thanks for a cute plus pattern! I can see this as a great suit dress for work in a wool or something. Quick question about the sizes, though: It looks like the original pattern only goes up to a 40, but this one starts at a 46? Is that a misprint, or is there really no 42/44?

Yes, that was a misprint thank you, this pattern starts at size 44.

looks nice, but the fabric isn’t my favorite, looks a little like a curtain… or an old lady dress

but i think it’s a great shape for plus girls ;)
