This is the first red dress in my closet and I love it! it’s the pattern from 01/2011 burda mod 102a. It’s not the easiest dress to sew but it can also be worse :) I started it and did most of it but the sleeves were just a nightmare and since I never did them before this was just too much for a toddler like me so my mom had few days of trying to fit them right. They are not exactly as in the pattern and I think it is because of the material, but it still looks ok. well, maybe bit funny but hopefully it’s only in the pictures.
This patten is just amazing and I wanted a dress like that so badly and the first chance to do it was just now for a graduation promotion I will go to tomorrow!

Wow, I love your red dress. I was wondering about doing it and seeing yours convinced me to add it to my to-do list. Are the sleeves difficult to assemble? And does the skirt stay closed or does it open? I was thinking about adding a small button to keep it in place when you walk.

thanks! the sleeves are kinda difficult, don’t really know much to say because my mom did them but she struggled with them for 3 days to figure out what is the best way to put them. but material has a lot to do with it so be careful when choosing. the skirt is ok, it’s enough for it not to open and you put two drukers (sorry, don’t know the english word for it) to fix it.

thanks! it’s polyester which is not the best fabric to choose but I was looking for something that will not wrinkle and can be washed at home + the color is amazing
