Another of the many versions of this fab pattern. I used some left over bits from my wrap around skirt for the front side pocket yolks. I love the cut of this skirt – it is the nicest straight skirt from a commercial pattern I have ever seen. I just wish I had more of an hour glass figure to do it justice! The plan is to generally wear a cardigan with this skirt so less attention is drawn to the fact I don’t have much of a waist! I will definitely make this skirt again – thank you BurdaStyle! xxxxx

Material Notes

Navy cotton, left over quilt print.

Garment Type
Casual, Vintage

I’ve made this twice and you’ve inspired me to make this skirt again. I love your version!

LOVELY! you did a great job, and I don’t think you need a cardigan. the lines of the skirt are great and work really well for your body type – you look great! I’m working on my kasia, too, and I love the fit, I think it’ll become my favorite skirt and seeing the many creations on the site makes me want to make many, many more.

Thanks Darl – I really can’t say enough about how thrilled I was with this pattern – I really like the cut. And after your kind words re my body type – I may have more confidence to hit the streets with out the cardi! xxxxx

I like your Kasia! And it looks great on you, you definetly don´t need to hide under a cardigan ;o) I did a Kasia version myself the oter way round with dark blue pockets and colored skirt, but I really like your version as well. Perhaps I will do another one, like yours!

Thanks for your kind comments too Darl! I checked out the Kasia you made – I really like the contrast of the magenta/green stripes and the blue pockets (and the blue top you wore in the photo worked really well with it too!) xxxxx

Thanks Darl – the pattern was pretty easy but there are a lots of little bits to it (“yolks”). Give it a whirl – and if you get stuck – let me know and I’ll give you a hand. xxxxx

I second britynn89! The skirt is gorgeous! The pocket fabric adds up tons of cuteness to it!
