Description

Used Burda Style pattern 02/2011 Dress with waist elastic band #116. I changed the dress a little as I sewed – I didn’t add the arm bands as I liked the length the sleeves had and I didn’t add the elastic waist. When I tried the dress on for fit halfway through making the dress, I liked the option of adding a belt so I added the button holes in case I want to add the elastic in future. I love the easy fit of this dress. I made it a little big and had to take in the side seams around the waist for a better slimmer fit. I’ll make a smaller size next time. I used cotton sateen for the fabric and love how it turned out.
