Just in time for the cooler weather, we have this amazing Plus Size coat for you! The stunning yoke frames your face and keeps your shoulders extra toasty, and the back detail accentuates your figure. We used a lovely heavy wool for the main fabric, and black silk organza for the details, which adds a real sense of high drama to your winter wardrobe.
4 yards self fabric, 1 1/4 organza or chiffon, 2 3/4 yards lining, 11 buttons, 2 shoulder pads, store-bought or self-made 1 1/2 yard fold-over bias binding for around the pockets and yoke, interfacing

Will this be in smaller sizes? It’s a great coat!

This is such a gorgeous coat, I’ll have to make it for when my winter rolls around next year. Is it offered in regular sizes or will I have to grade it down myself?

I also love this coat, also it is not in my size it is very inpiring. And I really appreciate your decision in posting the pattern in plus and normal size!

Yes, that’s really great news! And I’m adding my voice to those saying how awesome it is to see really beautiful plus-sized clothes that underline the wearer’s personality, and not those usual tent-like ones.

Thanks for the terrific plus-size. It’s so great not to have old-lady boring stuff!

Hi Everybody,
Thanks so much for all the positive comments, it is fun to design for such a responsive audience.
I will look into smaller sizes but can not promise anything of right now!
What I can tell you though is that starting next year we will offer the same sewing projects in plus and in smaller sizes whenever the pattern is suitable for both.
Sounds good?
Best,
B

Love this too, smaller sizes would be very cool:)

I love this coat! I especially like the way it fits. Most people put plus sized women in a “swing style” coat that makes us look like a big tee pee. This way this skims the figure without being clingy and overly bulky. I think I’m going to make two, one in a black pattern and one in the trendy chocolate brown and pink. Thanks so much!!!

Just beautiful! I am not a plus size so I will have to alter the pattern for fit unless you plan on putting out one in regular size. Hint Hint.

I sooo love this coat. Pity I’m coming into Summer not winter. It’s so refreshing to see some messages asking for a Plus sized pattern to be made smaller!
Oct 14, 2008, 03.45 PMby myra_lee
I think this is gorgeous. I really wish you’d just have all your patterns in a range of sizes rather than Plus specific and non plus ones though!

I really do like this coat! Just… Lovely! I plan to purchase this coat. And I’m also
glad that it’s in a “plus” size pattern.
Thanks

Sweet! I love the details and that it is for us plus size gals! We so often have to settle for the “same old, same old”.

I wish I lived in colder weather…the jacket is such a designer piece, just a work of art! I love it! I also wish to see this pattern in smaller sizes…

Gorgeous! I’m not a plus size, but I’m fascinated with this coat and lovely details you added. Perfect inspiration.

Wow, this is a great coat. And I agree with krunamagiar, this is a lovely model too. I love it when you guys use happy-looking gals for your photoshoots who look like they’re out and about, having a great time!
