I’ve finally gotten around to releasing a dress which has been bouncing around in my head for months. You can see the preliminary sketch below, where I began playing around with the idea of sheer layers revealing what would be an otherwise fairly scandalous amount of decolletage.
You can read more about how I created the pattern on my blog here: http://habitatclothing.com.au/blog/
I’ve seen quite a lot of sheer panels on dresses in the fashion world lately, but it’s a trend that hasn’t been explored that heavily in the sewing community yet. I think it mixes a little bit of trend with an otherwise classic style.
If people are interested, I may release the pattern for the project as well. What do you think?
Thick cotton/spandex jersey, soft (poly?) mesh.
30 select jacket and coat patterns are now marked down to $3.99.
