Description

I literally JUST finished this…at approximately 3am! :D

If I like something, I often try to figure it out and make it myself.

I saw this gorgeous vintage skirt, but it was unfortunately not my size and so I set about making it myself, in a spring colour and fabric. I was just looking for an excuse to make a red skirt and this design suit it perfectly!

I learned a few more things on the way, as I always do with each new project, but over all, despite the few flaws it does have, I absolutely ADORE this skirt.

The bow is attached with a brooch pin, in case I feel like wearing just the simple skirt. It has a side zipper and I closed the waist band with 2 snap buttons.

Its made my mum proud – a master with a machine and maker of all my childhood frocks! – and thats enough for me! :D

Next time, I’ll use a hidden zipper though!

Thanks! I saw this skirt and decided to make it, with no pattern. It was really simple to figure out, I’m sure you’ll be great at it! I saw your tunic, and if you can do that, this is easy peasy! :)

Thank you so much. I’m very proud of how this came out and the bow is so whimsical and silly, I just love it!
