This was a fun project to sew up – and my first using lace. My Mom showed me how to make a nice finish using lace and she made the round edge in the bodice front (photo 1). That inspired me to make the rounded edges at the shoulders (photo 2). The pattern didn’t call for lace at the hem but I thought it was a nice touch and it gave the full skirt a good weight.
Stretch dance and swim knit, lace and picot elastic
Thank you to my Mom for her help with the lace!
