Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made this dress for a friend and it is from the book “Gertie’s New Book for Better Sewing.” It is a casual dress with facingings and no lining. It has bands on the sleeve hems and shiring at the waist back. I used covered buttons and bound button holes.

Cotton Duck. I would never have thought of this fabric for a dress but it worked out great. I am glad my friend chose it. It gives the dress nice body and crisp lines.
