Worn on my sis-in-law’s engagement party, this convertible maxi is made of soft and silky knit with a very good drape.
Compared to the “infinity dress” to which it is based, I added a bodice band with a strap holder as I cannot bear not wearing bra underneath my clothes. Thus, I called it convertible instead of infinity as the band on top stops me from doing some of the other styles .
Photos of me actually wearing it are yet to be compiled and posted.

I don’t think it means you"re conservative not showing your body to everyone…..anyway….great job , and, do you have a pattern for this?

It is very elegant! I was thinking about doing something similar for my prom, so it’s wonderful to see it all made up! Hope to see your pictures soon :)

thank you, redrosesews…
I’ll try to post a photo of me wearing the dress (once I get a chance to compile them)…

love the addition, will have to try that sometime. I have made three convertable dresses, two in the usual way and one with a waist added, but below the straps, so they behave as normal. great job!

I had to ponder a long time on how I can create a version of this infinity dress that would be suitable for my “conservative” taste… this is the best that I can think of.
Thanks for the comment.
