Instead of buttons, I created leather loops as closure. It was a bit tedious, but I think it was worth the hard work.

i love this! the color is amazing! did you have any trouble with the wool fabric? as this is intended for demin fabrics i’m hesitant towards using wool but am loving the idea.

I am almost finished making the Steffi jacket in time for the Fall and would love to make (or buy) a similar leather closure to the one used in your “Marching Band” version. Any suggestions?

Hi Stine,
I made the Leather closure myself and also made a video how to for it. I just did not have a chance to cut it yet since it is a rather long one. It is not hard though and if my video is not up yet by the time you get to the closure I will explain you anyway how to do it….just make sure (if you plan on doing a lining) to set the closure in first. Good luck
