Description

I made this little black skirt (as necessary as a little black dress) out of a 1/2 yard remnant of needlecord fabric. It has some elastane, and it distorts easily, which made it a nightmare to sew the lining inside the hip-yoke properly and transformed a quick’n’easy project into a pulling-my-hair-painfully project. But it’s a really versatile skirt and I have worn it a lot, especially during winter.

Material Notes

Black needlecord (cotton and elastane, I think), black acetate lining, small black invisible zipper.

So nice! I also need a little black skirt, but I did not think of making it of needlecord, however, I like your skirt! Did you use any particular pattern or did you make it yourself?

Thank you! I used a pattern from a Burda magazine (August 2010, 134).
