Ithaca, New York...
A friend posted this fabric from Joann’s website to Facebook, and it was so terrible! Like looking at a train wreck….I had to have it. My local Joann’s had just under 3 yards and I snapped it up in time to make this for the 4th of July holiday.
I used the Coffee Date pattern and added pockets. This is my second time machine-blind stitching a hem and inserting an invisible zipper. It went together sooooo easy, there were no hair-pulling moments (except when adding seam allowances). I also now know why quilting cottons are not the best choices for clothes, because they bunch a lot when wearing and don’t hang right. But, this one looks good!
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
