This was a custom made dress for a customer going to a summer wedding. I did everything myself- from the pattern, to cutting, to sewing. I made the adjustable straps myself using bra sliders. The bodice is a strapless foundation with layers sewn on top and then pleated with tiny hand stitches.
The skirt has pleated pockets with gathering at the front and back. I always use bias binding on the center back seam allowances.
Bodice foundation- twill, fused poplin, acetate lining, and self fabric, with a jersey contrast. Skirt- Tie-dye fabric with acetate lining. Invisible YKK zipper, hanger tape.
