This is my first Burda Style creation and I love the end result. I loved the pattern but it was a bit difficult for me. The zipper gave me trouble. I have never done a fly front. I got it done. YIPPY!! Next fly front will be much better. I like the fabric too. Camo with butterflies for a more feminine look. I wanted to do the flat felled seams as recommended by Laurianna but I got too anxious and didnt do it
Camo twill. 100% Cotton

It looks great! Nice choice of fabric. I keep being amazed of how different this skirt looks in a different fabric. I’m glad you managed that fly front. After getting a headache trying to make a good instruction on constructing the back slit (and kind of failing at that…), I thought it was better to direct people to Burdastyle’s explanations for fly fronts (illustrations make it easier), but it’s always a tricky kind of closure to make. By the way, if you’re not using special topstitching thread, you can make those flat felled seams stiching on the wrong side of the fabric which makes it a lot easier.

Really nice skirt. I don’t like camouflage very much, but with the butterflies it is really cool :)
