The convertible/infinity dress! My version only has 2 seams (the tutorial I used had 1) and was extremely easy to sew up! I made a few alterations including little loops on the sides to hold the “straps” and detachable straps to wear it even more different ways. The pictures just show a few variations!

Love it—thanks for the tutorial. How did you finish the hem and straps (or are they raw)?

Wow!! I didn’t know it was THAT easy!! Thank you!!
Quick question though – did you leave all the edges raw? no hems?

Hi, I just found your pictures, for some reason some of the links onyour site are not working. YOu mentioned on step 3 “I used the tutorial from making things blog”. Can you direct me to that place? the link doesn’t work and I am unable to find it. You did a great and beautiful work with the dress. Love the color too!

This looks so awesome, and in my favourite colour too! You must make a tutorial for this, or even a pattern. I love the fact that it can be worn so many ways.

Thanks so much everyone! My friend asked me to make one for her so I’ll try to do a tutorial.
amarie: My photos might have confused you because the first and second picture are tied different ways. There are two straps that come from the top of the skirt that I’m able to bring up, cross over my back and then bring it down and forward to wrap around my waist. I tied it in a knot in the back.
The dress is extremely comfortable! Extremely! I would wear it every day if I could.
pinkhibiscus: This dress is really easy to make, and I think even easier with a serger since it’ll just cut and sew all at once. It took me probably no more than 15 minutes to sew up.

that is so cool, would you say it’s hard to make?

One word: AWESOME! I need one!!!

This is really cool. That it is all one seam is also quite amazing, bu I can’t quite figure out the geometry of that strap and how to wrap and secure it around the torso. Is it comfy? You look great!
