These outfits were made for a friends little ones. The dress is a size 7 little girls and buttons with four red buttons in the back. The vest is for a 6 month old boy and four red buttons on the front that match the ones on the dress. The red and green check fabric is 100% cotton and the accent is red velvet. The velvet was a lot of work to sew on, it kept sliding off until I figured out to use temporary double stick tape to keep it straight. I used a “Children’s Corner” pattern for the dress and a vest pattern from youcanmakethis.com.
4 yards of 100% cotton red and green check fabric,
1/4 yard of red velvet,
red thread
white thread
8 red buttons (4 on the dress, 4 on the vest)
