By chance I found a factory outlet for leather in Rinteln, Germany and by chance it was open (funny opening ours…). There I bought white lamb leather nearly a whole skin with little faults for € 18,00 and I could make a vest and a pair of shorts out of it. For the shorts my sewing machine had it’s little problems because of some thick seams. I needed a whole set of needles. Next time a take another pattern, where I don’t have so many layers of leather.
Now, after using the vest, the sewing was not perfect on some parts. So I safed them with handsewed leather symbols “believe – love – hope”. The cross in black leather, the heart in darkred and the anchor in grey leather.
Something went wrong with the pictures – everything looks very wide.
