Description
A fabulously easy dress that is a great basic with some nice design details and a beautiful neckline. The easy design allows easy design and fitting adaptations. Try to replace the front and back tuck with a princess seam if you would like a more fitted look and eliminate the pockets for a less sporty and more simplistic and sleek version.

I will definately make this dress! although thinking about it I may put the zipper in the back, and expose it. Ive noticed a lot of designers are doing that.

I love the new photo style because it shows how the garment moves on a person. There are close-ups of important details that we wouldn’t otherwise see, and well if a technical diagram of it is needed, that’s on the pattern’s page. Also, to note, it is obvious to me (as someone who uses the software daily) that these photos aren’t really photoshopped or touched up that much at all because well, if someone was going to go through the trouble of airbrushing, they would have made the model’s armpits a lot prettier than they are!

Yes, this is a great dress! It’s simple but beautiful. Well, I agree with Lilo regarding the new photo style, I love the recent pictures very much at the same time though. It would be helpful to see at least one picture with which we can see how the garments actually look by themselves on the models . Technical drawings help a lot, but I think one more hint would be great.

The dress is lovely!
Opposite to everybody else I’m not so fond of the new photo style: as photos they are great, but there is no ONE pic that shows how the dress actually looks like; or turn it around – any dress (even an ugly one) will look good when flashed up this way. I want to see good craftmanship, skilled photoshopping can’t replace that.

I’m very nearly finished my attempt at this gorgeous creation, I just decided to look at the photos again and realised that my pleats on the bodice are turned the wrong way!!! Aghhhhh, It’s still very pretty, I’ll post a photo upon completion.

I’m loving that this has cap sleeves- it’ll be quick to make, set-in sleeves are ALWAYS the hard part for me with shirts/dresses! What’s also really cool is that there’s less fabric needed- a dress with sleeves usually needs close to like 3m of fabric!! This would be a nice work dress, I can see it looking really smart with a shirt underneath! What’s also really cool is that there’s less fabric needed. BTW I’m loving these last few colourful photoshoots too! As for charging for the odd pattern- after having created and uploaded only ONE pattern myself, that consisted of only three pattern pieces, and took me a whole weekend, I can certainly appreciate the huge amount of work that you BurdaGirls put into creating your professional patterns. I am credit-cardless so sadly won’t be able to partake but I hope they are success and allow you to continue to run the site! E.T.A. I just read in the forum that paypal is an option for paying for patterns too!

ooh I love it! Such a quick and pretty summer dress. I can really see this one as a casual, every day dress or a superluxe cocktail dress depending on the fabric. And I’m such a sucker for pockets and cool necklines!
