I bought this green light fabric for only 1€ on a trip to Porto (in Portugal). I wanted to turn it into a dress for christmas. Since there is a lot to do the last days before christmas I decided to use a pattern I did before, the Vogue 8511. As a sewing novice you don’t want to run into unexpected sewing problems one day before christmas.
Well, the sleeves were a little bit to large to fit into the armholes…but this was a problem I managed to solve in time. The fit of the dress is perfect for these non-stop-eating-days. I added in seam pockets from a tutorial here at burdastyle. They are great!!! I used the same black fabric that I used for the lining.
