I use 2 different silk chiffons in this dress. Same color but different shades and irisdiscente. The dress has a a bust all draped and woven, and the skirt is just simple but with uneven hem line. Now, the one strap goes around into the bust and is adjustable with a bow made with both colors silk and hand pleated. The side chawl is also detachable…..but also can be use as part of the dress in a cascade form……I was really please with this dress, and I hope you also will like it If you want to learn couture finishings, please follow me to: Rainforestcouture
silk chiffon irisdiscente, and silk charmeuse for the lining.

Hi Bad-Bad-Kitty!!! actually….this dress I had to do in a rush, and it was used last saturday, so I had to take it to bed with me, and do lots of hand work until 2 or 3 in the morning while watching National Geographic programs…..Belive me, I am not that fast….because most of the dresses that I make, have a lot, a lot of work. But….that is me….I have to complicate everything!!!! (in sewing I mean) I am glad that you like it!!!

Oh, I am in love with those fabrics – the colour, the sheen, the drape – all of it! And as always, you are the master of detail – that woven bust is beautiful to begin with, but the woven-through strap is definitely a very interesting additional detail! I also absolutely love the draping shawl! So lovely!!!!

My nice friend Almatinka with her lovely words…..I feel so lucky to have my long distance friends that encourage me and like what I do with the help of God….of course…. You also are detail oriented, because I can see how you look at every detail …thank you for taking the time, and for your words. God Bless you.

You are welcome, my dear friend! I’m afraid I am too detail-oriented! :-) That’s why I don’t have many projects yet – no time plus a long time to make each of them equals… (sigh) I guess I just need to sit down and sew! ;-)

Hi Rifka, I am happy that you like the dress, and actually, the pictures are not so good, because you can not see the details in the woven bust, nor the 2 different silk shades!!!! but I was very happy, because it looks much better in person.
