Fuschia pink Andy cocoon coat

Added Nov 24, 2013

Dublin , Ireland

This coat is based on one of the Named patterns’, Andy coat. The fabric is cashmere wool from Tessuti Fabrics; I used 2.5 metres for the coat. For the lining, I used a piece of polyester bought from JoAnn’s last year.

I just looove it! I love its’ style, its’ shape, but above all its’ color. You will definitely make heads turn when walking in that misty, rainy, cloudy, grey, gloomy city of yours. No, really I adore London and your coat.

Very nice colour and its brightness is very good for the simple pattern! And I like those big buttons – looks lovely. The coat or a jacket without a collar is a leader when it goes about wearing scarves which help to change the style and the mood of the outfit:-)) It’s only unusual to have buttons so low for such length of the coat, is it comfortable?

When I moved to London from Tokyo the difference in temperature was so big that I was freezing all the time. Hence the decision to make buttonholes all the way down. I have to say I was not sure about it in the beginning, but it turned out to be pretty comfortable to wear :)
