Burda Style For people who sew
Description
First complete skirt I’ve made. Made from vintage floral material. Waist band is elasticated and made from satin. The satin trim was added to give the skirt some weight to stay in place as the body material is very light.
I made this using a few basic techniques, primarily gathering material & making an elastic waistband. I had a book of basic sewing techniques to hand and essentially took my time & figured it out as I went along.
Its a simple type of skirt to make for beginners.
