Description

I made this dress to wear to my husbands formal work dinner. I used material I had in my stash from an op shop – some kind of jersey stuff. It’s lined in black jersey. It has side splits and no zip. I used a cowl neck dress pattern but made it longer and used the sash around the waist to give it shape. Very comfy to wear too. That’s my gorgeous husband with me in the photo xx. Total cost of dress about $15 – similar one in shop $400.

Material Notes

Stetchy satin / jersey

Thanks :) It’s not often that I am invited to a black tie dinner and the last one I went to was over 10 years ago. It was challenging to find a style that suited my age, body shape and the type of function we were attending. I must say I am pleased with the result and we had a great night out.

Thanks, the fabric was a good find. I’m pleased I just had enough to make this dress.
