Description

This dress is a combination of JJ blouse pattern, Ute blouse pattern and my redrafting.
I used the JJ blouse for defining the bodice of the dress. It is cut under bust and incorporates gathered bust panel, that gives the dress a bit of ethno look (it reminds me of dirndl blouses and ensembles). The back of the bodice is altered as well, so it has 2 darts instead of shoulder princess seams.
For the sleeves I used the Ute sleeve pattern, but cropped it a bit.
The skirt has one pleat on the front and one on the back.
The scaloped hems came naturally, since the cotton I used was embroidered and had lovely bordure. I used button hole stitch to secure the edge more and run the fabric through the machine, following the embroidery. Then I cut the extra fabric and got this lovely hem.
The dress is fully lined with lightweight cotton.
