I’ve been saving this vintage fabric for around two years for this dress ! I watched The English Patient a few years ago (which i kinda hated) but, I fell in love with one of Juliette Binoches dresses. It was so pretty and I was totally obsessed with making one for me. Then I found this fabric in my favorite fabric store . (which has now been turned into a quilt shop! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) So, I told myself that I would save it until I got good at sewing. Then I found the Shari dress which was a perfect pattern for the dress. I changed it just a little, I made the seams on the side so the pretty pattern wouldn’t look funny, I added a side pocket and did the top a little different too. I also hemmed it so it would be a bit higher in the front. I love it when dresses and skirts have that hem. So here is my creation. Hope you guys like. Oh, and I made it a bit bigger so I didn’t have to put in a zipper.
(I made this dress in January. NOw, it’s the perfect weather for it!)
