Burda Style For people who sew
Description
i went to fabric store the other day
looking for some wool for a cape
and stripey cotton for a dress
and then i saw this dark green silk satin
and dark green silk satin was begging me to take it home with me
and turn it into burda’s kimono robe from this february issue (mod 106)
..
and who am i to say no to silk
..
silk was satisfied with me as well
for the first time ever i had no trouble working with it
..
so.. here it is.. the robe

nope, it’s not fully lined, but i don’t think it would be hard to add lining to it, if you want to..

well that’s the problem with going to the fabric store :) …. but I’m bet you glad you did come home with this unintended purchase because this robe is soooooo lovely and elegant.

i sure am glad, i love my new robe.. but still have no wool for cape :) so i have to risk new visit to the fabric store

oh, but you have to make this :) and then just feel fabulous wearing it.. and it’s easy peasy thing to make (and way more pretty then my horrible photos can show)
