Beograd, Serbia

i went to fabric store the other day
looking for some wool for a cape
and stripey cotton for a dress
and then i saw this dark green silk satin
and dark green silk satin was begging me to take it home with me
and turn it into burda’s kimono robe from this february issue (mod 106)
and who am i to say no to silk
silk was satisfied with me as well
for the first time ever i had no trouble working with it
so.. here it is.. the robe
smoothest and most comfy thing i ever made
smoothest and most comfy thing i ever owned
see more pics on my blog

Material Notes

nope, it’s not fully lined, but i don’t think it would be hard to add lining to it, if you want to..

Lovely! You could wear it over a dress as an evening wrap/jacket, too!

How is it that you make me want to make everything you sew? Now I want a robe to lounge elegantly at home. That fabric is beautiful, I see how you couldn’t resist.
