This is our ‘Elsa #1! I am immi. and I made a version in size 42/44. Elsa was made out of some wonderful fabric which I put aside during many years (about 20 years!). You may recognize that I am an old woman today! ;-) Ha, ha – nevertheless I felt a bit like Marily M. during the photoshoot.
My daughter took the photos as always. We made a trip to ’Bremerhaven’ which is a seaport not far away from us.

Lovely dress I would like to give this a go. I noticed that you mention you will be adding a size 42 in 2 weeks why stop there? What about the more curvier girls we need up to a 44 or even 46 please if not it’s cool I’ll just grade the what ever larger size you add.

Didn’t you see this ?
I wish there would be a software which would be more handy to digitalize patterns than the existing programms. So that we could add much more sizes having less time and effort.

Thank you for that wonderful dress-pattern! I love that dress a lot and I’d like to sew an “Elsa” too. It’s nice how your dress changes it’s colors by different light. Your photos are great! congratulations for the medals you got for inlineskating, didn’t you?

Thanks NessyS!
Elsa is the name of a neighbour farmers woman I knew since I was a child. She was a farmer’s wife and she died recently at the age of 91.
All my projects receives a typical old german name.

Wonderful. I am a size or three larger, but am learning how-to size up. I have about 4 m of navy silk that is from the early 1980’s (I also hoard fabrics) that has been waiting for the perfect pattern. Every Spring and Fall, out it comes, gets cleaned and refolded, put away until ….. You understand, I’m sure. LOL Cordially, Nehmah

WOW: 4m navy silk from the eighties you cared for since 30 years! This is true love! :-)
2 m of my cool-wool are left over… perhaps I should make a vintage jacket?

I really love how the two of you are working together. I guess you’re a perfect match – both very creative, sharing your ideas and working together on their realization. I am curious – did you two meet in person after all?
P.S. You’re not an old woman! I think you’re looking great!
May 11, 2010, 09.25 AMby elegant-impressions
No, we never met us in person. We are only in e-mail contact. You can imagine: up to 50 e-mails a day!. :-))
