The first of several items I have planned for my daughter for Fall. I plan on using only fabric from my stash, and as few purchased patterns as possible. :)
Just getting back into sewing after a LONG time away. This dress involved several things that were either new or “rusty” skills:
- inverted box pleats
- heavily modifying an existing pattern
- using bias tape
- making a hair bow that doesn’t fall apart instantly :)
All materials are from my stash-- Wool? blend tweed not only from my stash but from the SCRAP bin :) Bias tape 3 black buttons with anchor detail 1 black button and some ribbon for closure

Very pretty, both the girl and the dress.
