Description

My husband and I visited some friends last week that have an adorable 2 year old, so I decided to make her a stuffed elephant. I used the pattern provided by Cicada Daydream here: http://cicadadaydream.blogspot.com/2009/05/ms-shade-garden-meet-mr-dogwood.html as the basic pattern, modified it and made 2 new pieces. I’ve added the pattern pieces I made for my version of her elephant. Sorry about the crappy pictures, but I literally finished the elephant on the metro on the way to our friends’ house and took the pictures while walking from the station to their house….The little girl liked the elephant* and named it Efi, thus, the project’s name.
*Thank god because otherwise I would have been rather sad since I put quite some effort into it.
After reading the comments of people who have made the elephant I must warn everyone else, that it seems my instructions are not very clear, so if you decide to make this, just follow your common sense and you will be fine.

Material Notes

I used cotton fabric from Ikea. I have no idea how much since I just used scraps that I had.

Hi, I’m new here and I love your version of the elephant. But somehow I can’t find your part of the pattern. I did find cicada one easily, and I also have your PDF but there is no pattern with the instructions. If it’s possible for you I would like a copy of your pattern and not cicada one. Thanks a lot!

    Nice work!

Hi, sorry that it took me so long to reply. You need to go to this web-site http://cicadadaydream.blogspot.com/2009/05/ms-shade-garden-meet-mr-dogwood.html

There you can download the original pattern that Michelle Engel Bencsko from cicadadaydream created. You need from that pattern the face, tusk, and ear, and you need to add a 0.5 cm seam allowance to them, so that they may fit together with the pieces I created. I hope that this helped. If you have any more questions, please let me know and I will answer as quickly as I can.
