My friends and I had a disney night and I was roped in to make a few costumes!
This costume was mine!
My favourite Disney character is Megera from Hercules! She’s so cool and got a real hard attitude – just like me!
The pattern I used for this was Simplicity 4940. I had to adapt it a bit so it looked similar – no sleeves etc.
The fabric for the main dress was a lovely lilac satin-like material. Quality, shimmery and strong.
I added a strip of purple organza across the empire line of the dress and made a sash belt.
To make it look really cartoony, buttons were painted with gold nail varnish and added to the straps and belt.
With big hair and gold nail varnish I looked Ace!
Flirty dresses, a cropped cami, and glam trousers for modern flappers.
