In a dual attempt to use up some of my leftover bits of fabric and keep warm now that winter is fast approaching, I decided to have a go at making a quilt to live on the back of the couch.
The front is just squares, that I cut out and then spent far too long arranging in a ‘random’ pattern, and the back is navy flanelette, to make it warmer than if i had just used cotton.
I had my first nap under it the other day – it’s v cosy!
Sewn 23rd March – 11th April 2009
Various leftover pieces of fabric, cut into 4.5 inch squares, cotton wadding, navy flannelette for the back & red poplin for binding.

Nice work, there is nothing like a quilt especially the first nap. Very nice arrangement.

This is a great way to use up left over fabrics, which I have done myself! I love all the perfectly placed colors in your quilt! Well done!
