Practising my costume making during easter: a Marie Antoinette period dress with underskirt made from Simplicity 2832 pattern. Sometimes I strut about in it to amuse myself.
Old curtain fabric; satin, lace and trim all from John Lewis.

very beautiful. you did a great job on it and the fabric choices match so perfectly. Great loli dress. So when you strut about in it, you do it in public to get the reaction from others? just currious. It is very lovely. Older style clothing just has so much over new styles I think. It can be modest yet very attractive at the same time. some times I think I was born in the wrong era.

Thank you! I feel guilty taking any credit for it though as it is made from a pattern, Simplicity 2832. It’s very simple and not as frightening as it looks so I bet you could knock one up in no time.
