In this project, you will learn how to use my contour bust pattern I have created just for you! Unfortunately, my pattern/photoshop skills are rudimentary, so the only size is about a 2-6 in US women’s dress sizes and 36-38 in Burda sizes. This may seem like a large range, and it is, but I have made this dress several times and this dress should fit in the bust area all these sizes.
You will need: At least 1.5 yards of fabric Something to trim the top (bias tape, piping, elastic…) At least a 9-inch zipper

When you click “Get It” the web page will then be directed to an overview of your “Purchase history” which you can also by going to your account. Then to the right of the picture of this project/pattern you will see different options for printing the pattern itself.

:O thanks then, I didn’t know the dot ment something before the number. Ok then, that would be 1,27 cm. of seam allowance! Now I understand!! hehe
Aug 13, 2009, 01.46 PMby miasu
Oh dag yo, I’m really sorry about that! It IS 34, 36, and 38…

I’t a great job and thanks for the pattern! The instructions seem very clear as well.
Then I have the same question IchiGoGirl asked about sizing but also you say that all seam allowances are included and are .5 inches?? 5 inches are like 12,7 cm I believe.. is that correct? isn’t it like a lot of seam allowance? since burda patterns include 1,5 cm of SA.
Thanks for shearing!

.5 inches is half an inch. So, 0,5 inches. That is about 1,27 cm.
I agree, 5 inches would be a ridiculous amount of allowance ;)

wait- does the fabric have to be stretchy?
thanks again!

nope, it would actually be best if it wasn’t due to the fitted nature of the bust.

It must be that it should be Burda size 36-38. But then, a US 2 and a US 6 are quite different in size…?
Very cute dress, thanks for adding the pattern! I especially like the plaid version. Oh, and a technical drawing would be super….!

I have a question about sizing, your pattern says US 2, 4 & 6 that’s Burda size 34, 36 and 38 but you say it’s Burda 26-28? Maybe you could have a look at the Burda measurements charts and find out which are the correct sizes? Thank you.
