Description

Basically I used the same pattern as this dress and made some changes with skirt, shortened and gathered it. I know the fabric is absolutely not for dresses but for wallpapers or interior decorations. but when I saw this fabric at a huge fabric store in Tokyo, I felt that I had to make a dress with it and it was so fun to make a dress with an unorthodox fabric and much more fun to wear it :)

Material Notes

woven wallpaper fabric, polyester lining and zipper

I love this print! Looks fab Darl – possibly a contender for my favourite of all the dresses you have been “pumping out” lately! I envy your wonderful level of production! x

Your “unorthodox” fabric is what renders a simple fitted dress unique and innovative. Good for you!

Love, love this dress. Did you use a pattern or make a pattern yourself?

thank you. for bodice I used a pattern from japanese book, you can find it on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIMPLE-CHIC-DRESS-PATTERNS-Japanese-Craft-Book-/360309675317, and made a change with neckline. and for skirt I drafted the pattern myself :)

I love to use an unorthodox fabric too. This dress rocks it.
