so, I found a He-man and the masters of the universe duvet cover in a charity shop for £1.50! I’m always on the lookout for duvet covers and curtains in chairty shops for cheap material but I just thought this was too good to pass up. I even used the reverse of the duvet cover as the lining! the lilac stuff up top was from my stash, so altogether a very cheap (and eyecatching) creation.
I do think it makes me look like the side of a house…. which is unfortunate…. I need to tighten up the fabric around the bust too… saggy boobs are not a god look :-)

Haha I wore this to the 6th form leavers ball last year (er… I’m a teacher XD ) but I havn’t really worn it since because I didnt like the fit… it will probably get altered and re-purporsed as a maternity summer dress for when bump gets bigger :-)

yea, the fabric is really thin so you do need a lining and interfacing but makes it perfect for summery dresses and floaty skirts :-) kids’ duvet covers have the best designs and there are often loads of them in the chairty shops, go ahead and try it!

well, I guess on lots of 7 year old boys’ beds lol, I love the concept of taking something typically boyish/geeky/retro and dragging it kicking and screaming into 2010 :-) it is an awesome duvet cover
