This project started more than one year ago, then was lying around, unfinished, now it came to an end. It was not easy to get the checks right. I also had to alter the pattern a lot because my shoulders are size 42 (16) and the body growing to 44/46 (18). I had to shorten the bodice because I’m rather small. It’s a light crashed fabric, very loose-woven and very fraying. To proove whether it’s wool or not I washed a remnant piece with Jeans together at 60 centigrades and tumbled it dry. – Nothing happened (no pure wool!), it only smelled a bit like a wet dog (a little bit wool inside) and needed to be ironed.
I love how it came out, I think I’ll wear it often this winter.
