I just recently completed these Chinese “Qi Pao” inspired blouses for a friend’s Chinese Restaurant servers. I borrowed the basic pattern from McCalls 9596, shortened it from long dress to blouse length and added zippers to the side for ease of wearing. I also added satin trims to the collar, sleeves and front to immitate the Qi Pao look. Then to finish off the look, I made single-knot Chinese buttons (bars) across the trim in the front. I decided to make 2 different styles of front trims. Not sure how to explain it!
I used a wash and wear polyester/georgette material in floral prints and the trims are made of satin fabric.

很漂亮! 如果领子的镶边和前襟的镶边连在一起,那就完美啦~\(≧▽≦)/~
