A girl cannot survive a summer in Texas without little cotton dresses, so I’m happy to add this one to the rotation. The fabric is Alexander Henry Dagmar Plaid, and I love it so much I wish I’d bought an entire bolt so I could cover everything in my house with it.
In a move that’s pretty unlike me, I followed the pattern instructions exactly. Bias tape on the neckline and armholes, elastic casing, little bow in the front (which I made from leftover bias tape), etc. I’m really happy with how this dress came out, and I can’t wait to wear it! My favorite part is the placement of the elastic casing—slightly empire, but not so high up it makes me look preggo.

I LOVE this on you. I’m a busty lass and was really want to try this dress but was concerned I’d look pregnant. The last line of your review and photos have given me confidence that it will work out!
