Whoever claimed that velvet is troublesome to sew clearly hadn’t tried doing so while looping Bobby Vinton’s “Blue Velvet” in the background. What I mean is…it was surprisingly easy to deal with such a notorious fabric, especially as it is rather stretch. Even the ruched sleeves weren’t that stress-inducing.
The pattern is a mix of old burdas from the 80s. Unfortunatelly, the photos don’t do justive do the upper part, which is not as plain as it may seem.
*If Vinton is not your cup of tea, could also try Lynch’s film for thematic background.
As an early special Black Friday promotion you can now enroll in the course ($80 value) for $49.99!
