I wanted a cover for the book I’m reading because I think it’s such a shame that all paperbacks get pretty much ruined from sitting around in my bag will all my other stuff.
I’m thinking of adding a button or elastic to hold it closed.

This is so funny. It’s gorgeous :-) I made myself a Kindle cover with the same fabric. Happy sewing!
I used a hardback cover from a book I got at the Goodwill to reinforce it. (Screen is fragile)

I have been thinking about making some sort of book cover, as I always scuff up the covers. I couldn’t work out something suitable though – this is perfect! Did you reinforce the cover in any way?

I’m glad to have inspired you!
I used the same fabric for both exterior and lining and it is pretty heavy so I didn’t feel the need to reinforce it in any way. With a different fabric I would use some kind of interfacing though.
