Added Jan 3, 2010

Boston, Massachu...

I love this dress!
I know I’m jumping on the sewing community bandwagon with this pattern (Butterick 4790), but every finished product I saw on here was so amazing in its own way that I had to sew it. So, voilà!

Material Notes

Patterned piqué fabric, white bridal satin, black bias tape, snaps, buttons

Garment Type
Other, Satin

I have just bought all the Butterick Retro dress patterns as a Christmas present to me and this one was top of the list to make as it looked pretty easy. I love you version here. The fabric choices are really lovely. I am so inspierd not to try it. Just to find the right fabric…… :) K xx

really really nice!!! I made this same dress with a fabric printed with words… it did not suit the dress well needless to say since it reads upside down on the back of the dress : ( this is adorable!!! Love the fabric you chose! I think I will have to pull mine out and wear it more! makes the pattern look cool! : )
