To Infinity and Beyond! Buzz Lightyear INSPIRED costume.
2011 Halloween costume for my 3 year old son. I started with a basic tee pattern and some dollar store XL t-shirts (white & lime). All embellishments were drawn using my son’s toy as a guide and appliqued to the shirt. The pants are fleece with jersey embellishments, applique again. The hood is made using scraps of jersey. The gloves are 2 parts. A pair of store bought stretch gloves with appliqued “gauntlets” that go over them. The jet pack and wings were the most difficult. They are made backpack style. The wings are pieced together and stiffened using “craft fuse” and 1/2" high density foam. The “backpack” part is also appliqued.
Fleece, Cotton Woven, Cotton Interlock
