Sew, I bought this pattern when it came out. Of course I had wait for it to go on sale at the local fabric store. I love paying 1.99 v 9, 10, and 13 dollars! I waited and waited to find just the right fabric. So I bought some hounds tooth moleskin. One was in brown and black the other was in red and black.
Ok, I must admit the red and black was supposed to be a coat for my daughter but I saw another Burda member post her creation of this same dress and it was Georgeous. I can not find the posting now. I used this pattern for my husband and I 9th year anniversary (It got very cold but for once I was a bit willing to freeze! But then it got windy and started to snow!) I made version b with the tab on version c. Simplicity 2648. Such a great pattern. I suggest every lady to get it.

Thank you! I want to make more with different embels like Omg_Dora suggested. (But I’d already made my mind to it) But I have a list of other things ….that are going so slow.

I love the fabric. Its really nice, and it suits you. The detail at the waist really accentuates your waist. I’m sure your husband was very proud of you that day…lol

Great fit, great fabric, great dress and you look fabulous! And what a great way to create an accessory for the coat out of the same fabric – they now look like a set meant to be!!!

Lovely, and what a perfect fit! Looks like a pattern that’s worth using again and again in different fabrics, and maybe adding new details each time. I also love the way the dress looks with the coat and the scarf.

Thank you. Yes, I do plan on making more of these. LBD, LWD and I want a purple one too. I also whipped up the scarf in about 20 min because the trench was plain.

Very cute!!! Sometimes you have to suffer to be beautiful. lol. Great job. Is it lined?

No it is not lined. The pattern didn’t call for and besides the material is thick enough to not see through. Although, if an attempt is made with a thin fabric, I ’m sue it may need to be lined. And thank you for your compliment.
