Beautiful dress indeed, but i do also think that it won’t suit me, because i need it in size 48.

This dress looks fabulous! But don’t think it would suit my body shape unfortunately…. however maybe could drop the waist and would be more flattering on us “box” shape girls….. :)

Please, did anyone make this dress in smaller size than what the pattern calls for? Or could anyone help me make it smaller? I am size 34, I have purchased the pattern, spent a lot of time trying to make it smaller, but with no success. Could anyone help me? Thanks!

What i do when making a simple pattern like this smaller or bigger is:
1) look at the garments measurements ( i look at the “finished garment” measurements, if listed, if not, measure actual pattern with tape measure— don’t count in seam allowance)
2) then take the difference, for instance if the pattern at the bust or waist or hip is 3 inches bigger than you want then keep in mind -3.
3) divide that number by 4( the amount of seams)
4) 3/4 = .75 ", take this amount off each of the seams at the desired point.
does this make sense?
also you can do this the bust, waist and hip and then make a smooth curve or line to your new measurements.

The materials section does not list bias tape, but the first step in the pattern calls for it. Where did this bias tape come from?

Made this dress… not very flattering and I’m not big or too skinny :/

Nice dress. Didn’t know there was a pattern for an easy fit drop shoulder number so drafted a pattern for myself. Must finish it soon and post it.

I bought the pattern but am having a heck of a time printing out pages 10 to 13. In the PDF, those pages are showing up in landscape, and none of my fiddling has gotten those pages to print out in the right orientation. Has anyone else had this problem?

Wasn’t this pattern free? Given that one has to pay for printing or make the effort of printing the pattern and piecing it together, I am disappointed that Burda is charging for almost every pattern now.

I quite like this dress. I will have to change it from a size 38 to a 32 though. I think this dress looks great when altered!
