This week we looked to longtime Swedish member Ichigogirl to provide us with a lovely new shrug pattern. A shrug is the perfect remedy for overly air conditioned spaces, a quick cover-up, cooler evenings or to just add a pop of color. And the simplicity of this project makes it perfect for beginners.

Adorable shrug. Inquring minds want to know – what’s the dress being modeled with the shrug?

Ah, it’s from Zara… I got it years ago as a back door soultion in case I didn’t find another one for a wedding I was going to (since I couldn’t find any dresses I liked and even though white is really a no-no at weddings), to be worn with a scarf in colour, but fortunately I found a red dress I liked (no dresses my size around in the shops back then). Obviously during a no-sew-period of my life…
Now it’s my favourite summer dress :-). I’d love to make a copy of it if I find the time.

Thank you! I hope people like it and use it (I’ve made three, and used the original to pieces).
